At Language Level Check, we believe in respecting your privacy and keeping things simple. Here’s how we handle your data:

We Don’t Collect Your Data

Language Level Check does not collect, store, or share any of your personal information. Your test results and progress are stored locally on your device only. We have no servers that store your data, no accounts to create, and no information to sell.

No Third-Party Tracking

We don’t use analytics services or tracking cookies. Your language learning journey is yours alone. We don’t know who you are, what tests you take, or what scores you get.

Local Storage Only

All of your data stays on your device:

  • Test results
  • Best scores
  • Progress history
  • Preferences

If you delete the app, all your data is deleted with it. There’s nothing stored anywhere else.

In the future, we may add affiliate links to recommended learning resources (like books, courses, or language learning tools). When we do:

  • These will always be clearly labeled as advertisements
  • We will disclose that we may earn a commission from purchases made through these links
  • We will never share your data with these affiliates
  • Clicking these links will be entirely optional and will not affect your test results or app experience

Language Level Check is not an official testing body.

We are a passion project created to help language learners quickly estimate their proficiency level. Our tests:

  • Are not official certifications
  • Should not be relied upon for official purposes
  • Provide estimates based on established frameworks (CEFR, JLPT, HSK, TOPIK)
  • Are not affiliated with any official language testing organizations

If you need an official certificate or certified testing score, please contact the relevant official testing organizations:

  • CEFR: Various national and international testing centers
  • JLPT: Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services
  • HSK: Hanban / Confucius Institute Headquarters
  • TOPIK: National Institute for International Education (NIIED)

We have done our best to create a quick, helpful tool for self-assessment, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of our level estimates for official purposes.
