At Language Level Check, we believe in respecting your privacy and keeping things simple. Here’s how we handle your data.

No Personal Information Collected

Language Level Check does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. We don’t require accounts, we don’t ask for your name or email, and we have no way to identify you.

Anonymous Test Analytics

When you complete a test, we collect anonymous, aggregated test result data to help us improve test quality. This data includes:

  • The language tested
  • Per-question answer data (which questions were answered correctly or incorrectly)

This data is completely anonymous — it is not linked to any device identifier, account, or personal information. We use it solely to identify potential problems with individual test questions (for example, if a question is answered incorrectly by an unusually high percentage of users, it may indicate an issue with the question itself).

We do not and cannot:

  • Identify who took a test
  • Link results across multiple tests or sessions
  • Track your location, device, or browsing activity
  • Share this data with any third party

Local Storage

Your personal test results, best scores, progress history, and preferences are stored locally on your device only. If you delete the app, all your local data is deleted with it.

In-App Purchases

Language Level Check offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock all languages. This transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not process, store, or have access to any payment information.

No Third-Party Tracking

We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking cookies within the app.

Language Level Check is not an official testing body.

Our tests provide estimates based on established frameworks (CEFR, JLPT, HSK, TOPIK). They are not official certifications and should not be relied upon for official purposes. We are not affiliated with any official language testing organizations.

If you need official certification, please contact the relevant testing body:

  • CEFR: Various national and international testing centers
  • JLPT: Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services
  • HSK: Hanban / Confucius Institute Headquarters
  • TOPIK: National Institute for International Education (NIIED)
